I am a loyal Alaska Airlines customer and proud Board Room member. When flying to Newark, Chicago, Minneapolis, Boston, Washington or Orlando, I swing through Seattle and settle in for a little “me time” at the Board Room. One of the biggest perks of the Seattle Board Room is Yami Yogurt. It seems so simple, but its true. Those little Yami Yogurts are the difference between a “ho-hum” and “outstanding” day. That first, silken bite of Yami Yogurt is heaven. It is, without question, the best yogurt I have ever had the pleasure of eating.
The Alaska Airlines Portland Board Room has many great perks as well. The soup is a major highlight. The espresso machine makes the perfect latte. The staff is always friendly, helpful and kind. The rest of the food is a delight as well. However, there is one thing missing: Yami Yogurt.
I don’t mean this to offend the “other” Portland yogurt. It is delicious, but it just isn’t Yami. Being a Pacific Northwesterner, I LOVE all of the products we grow and create and Yami is at the top of the list. My mouth even waters when the great Dave Niehaus talks about Yami during Mariners broadcasts.
I believe that now is the time for people who travel out of PDX to savor the delight that is Yami Yogurt every day.
Those of you who travel from or to Portland International Airport, we ask that you take a moment to sign the petition, asking Alaska Airlines to bring Yami Yogurt to Portland. We will send all responses to the great folks at Alaska Airlines, humbly asking that they bring this taste treat to PDX. We’ll keep you updated on our progress on the blog.
Bring on the Yami!
